Derby Joins the Bonney Energy TAS Network
Bonney Energy is excited to bring a new 24-hour fuel stop to Derby, officially opening on Thursday, 27 November 2025 at 76 Main Street. With both ULP and Diesel available around the clock, the new site is designed to support the flow of locals, travellers and mountain bikers who rely on Derby as a gateway to some of Tasmania’s most iconic trails.
Fuel can be purchased at any time of day or night through the secure Outdoor Payment Terminal, making it easier than ever to refuel before a sunrise shuttle, after a long day on the Blue Tier, or during the late-night trip home.
As part of the wider Bonney Network, the site accepts Bonney Card, most major credit cards, AmpolCard and AmpolCash, with the added benefit of RACT members saving 6 cents per litre.
The opening also marks a new partnership with Up Down Around, a locally owned business offering uplift shuttles, airport transfers and custom MTB tours across Derby and the North-East. Owner Josh says the partnership is a natural fit for the region: “We’re really pleased to see fuel available in Derby 24/7. With riders heading out at first light and returning well after sunset, this gives everyone greater freedom and convenience.”
To celebrate the launch, we’ll soon be unveiling an exciting competition giving riders the chance to win the Ultimate Derby Mountain Biking Experience. More details to come.
The new Derby fuel stop is a small but meaningful step in supporting the local community and the thousands of visitors who power the region each year. Whether you’re a rider, a resident, or just passing through, we’re proud to be here for the journey.
