Supporting Tassie Truckies: Open Road Health & Wellbeing Day at Epping Forest

06/05/2025

Bonney Energy is proud to be hosting the next Open Road Health & Wellbeing Day at our Epping Forest Road House on Thursday 8 May, from 8:00am to 2:00pm.

This event is part of the Open Road initiative – a collaborative program dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of Tasmania’s truck drivers and the broader transport industry. The initiative is led by the Tasmanian Transport Association (TTA), Rural Alive and Well (RAW), the Tasmanian Truck Owners and Operators Association (TTOOA), and the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), and is proudly supported by the Tasmanian Government.

What to Expect on the Day:

  • Free health checks for all drivers
  • The Steering the Future Truck, hosted by the TTA, will be on-site
  • A free BBQ courtesy of De Bruyn’s Transport, as part of their support for the 2025 Truckie RUOK event
  • Salad roll vouchers provided by TTA / Open Road
  • And to top it off, Bonney Energy is shouting every truckie a barista coffee or bottled water – our way of saying thank you for the vital work you do

This is one of many pop-up health events happening across the state, all designed to offer practical support and start important conversations around health, wellbeing, and community in the transport sector.

We invite all truck drivers passing through Epping Forest to stop in, take a break, grab a bite, and check in – for yourself and for the road ahead.
